A bag for Spring

Soon after Menswear Day we popped in to Topman to have a good nosy around the SS10 stock. Now, it has been some time since both of us were shopping in Topman but memories of dashing around the store in Coventry (it was one of the only highlights of the city) eager to spend my student loan came flooding back. Fast forward a few years and we were a lot more mature and reserved in our approach and after admiring a few new additions to the shop floor we headed to the Lens corner. Released twice a year in February and September, Lens is back for Spring Summer 2010 featuring ranges from the likes of Dusty, Christopher Shannon, Dexter Wong, Mjolk, Kasper-Harup Hansen and Carolyn Massey. It was apparent that the rails had been hit hard during London Fashion Week but despite the somewhat depleted stock, EJ spotted a canvas camera bag by Carolyn Massey.

They key detailing on the strap.

With each season of Lens thus far, I have found at least one item of the collaboration with Carolyn Massey that I just had to add to my wardrobe. I can always tell exactly which pieces are hers. The collaboration is so popular because her design aesthetic translates well on to the high street. At £35 the vintage inspired canvas and leather bag was nothing short of a bargain too good to miss out on. It is the ideal bag for the warmer months ahead. It can house the essentials that have been residing in my winter coat pockets with consummate ease and there is room for my sunglasses (wishful thinking...maybe).

The ideal bag for the warmer months. Bulging pockets are a problem no more.
