The feature opened with Richard Gray's typical writing style, laced with humour... Is blogging the new crack? Is twittering the new caffeine? Virals the new, erm Fendi Baguette? They're every-flocking where! And there's some shite, too. So, after a vanilla slice and a Red Bull we picked 10 of the best from the electronic ether.
The ten includes; KateLovesMe, Style Rookie, Grazia Daily, The Fashion Spot, Karl Lagerfeld's Twitter, Jacky Blue, Disney Roller Girl, Show Studio and the Macho City mailout. As you can see it includes some big, well known players in the online world. These are people we admire and blogs we read religiously so to be included in such a list is just crazy for us. If we weren't proud and embarrassed enough, 10 had this to say:
We like Style Salvage. They did s piece on us once and we thought, mmm, it's very good. They do a nice little section called "Style Salvage Speaks to", as they chat to various fashion-y types about this, that and the other, probing victims with incisive Qs. I was recently probed thus: "Now this is your chance to ask yourself and answer the one question you wish you had been asked, but have never had the opportunity to do so." I knowwwww...I wrote back some right old shite about having three people in my head at any one time. Hit this site to find out what's happening in menswear now, and for the season ahead. It's very good.
We are far from used to receiving such attention and as such are not quite what to say and do at this point, other than to share this surreal moment with you all and to say a big thank you to all those at 10 Towers before pinning this page to our fridge.
10 is our favourite number
We recently had a couple of comments informing us that there was a mention of the blog in the latest issue of 10 Magazine. At first we just laughed it off because why would 10 talk about us, a lowly menswear blog? But then Richard Gray, 10's Fashion Features Director (who we interviewed here) dropped us an email confirming that the blog had been included in their ten blogs/twitters/mail-outs you should know feature. Ever since this email we have been on a quest to pick up a copy and after many frustrated newsagent visits during our lunch breaks we have finally got our hands on a copy and are blown away by the contents. After we were told of the inclusion we only expected a tiny mention but there we are owning the whole of page sixty one!
