b Store loves Liberty for AW11

The moment we first learned about the coming together of two of our favourite stores, we just knew that the union would provide something quite special. With the debut capsule collection of b Store loves Liberty for SS11, our high expectations were fulfilled and added to thanks to a dash of pepper print. Building on the success of the initial collaboration, the b Store design team have created their second print capsule collection for AW11 using Liberty archive fabrics.

Designers have always been inspired by Liberty's ever growing archive of prints. With an archive that is one hundred and thirty five years old, there is plenty to excite and inspire. Here, full of confidence thanks to the positive response to their debut, b Store have experimented and played with the fabric in a way most designers are reluctant to. Throughout it is used to to offer a fresh take on classic menswear pieces such as the blazer, the chino, and the denim jacket. The team were driven to find ways to create a winter collection out of summer weight cottons and prints that naturally lend themselves to long, lazy summers. This resulted in quilting, using the fabric artwork as a print on denim and the fabric as layers and trimming on winter weight garments. Once again they are keen to 'keep it floral' as, like us, they feel it is the real signature of liberty art fabrics. The collection will be available exclusively at Liberty, b Store and mywardrobe very soon so without further ado, here is a selection of images from the look book.

----------

Having recently returned from Paris and the SS12 showcase, I have to mention just how strong the third instalment of this collaboration is. I was only in Paris for a weekend but found myself returning to the showroom just to look at the collection again and again and again. During the course of the last couple of weeks I have contemplated whether or not to post a few shots from the Six London Showroom but for me, the collection deserves more than a few excited shots. Over the coming weeks I will be taking a closer look at and will share my findings with you. b Store loves Liberty and I love this collaboration.
